With summer slowly coming to an end, be sure to get out and enjoy a few more events happening in the Boulder area. Even though many of our favorite summertime activities might be canceled, there’s still a lot going on. Now is a great time to try out something new, discover a new restaurant, or check out a new area! I’ve put together a list of events and activities that might be fun for you this month. These events have your safety in mind and are doing all the can to keep you and your family safe while still being able to get out and have fun together. I hope you gather your friends and family and enjoy some of these local events in my August Community Insider Boulder Area.
Tubing In Boulder Creek
Boulder Creek was named one of the 10 best lazy rivers for tubing in the U.S by Men’s Journal! So grab your friends and family and go on this adventure together! Don’t have a tube? No worries! They are available to rent for $30 dollars on site. Cool off on a hot summer day by taking a float down the Boulder Creek with friends or family. Paddle Board Yoga
Love yoga and want to try a fun and exciting twist? Then give paddleboard yoga a try! Located on the Boulder Reservoir just head to the orange boathouse near the main boat ramp! Fees for this event are $7 for Boulder residents and $9 for non-residents, but annual passes are also available. They will provide you with paddle boards so there’s no need to worry if you don’t have your own. Book now and they will see you on the water! And if you happen to take a tumble into the water, you’ll just be able to cool off nicely on these warm summer days. For more information on this event and how to sign up click here!
Every Saturday night come join BIFF Drive-In for a fun way to enjoy some of your favorite films. They are taking extra precautions when it comes to keeping every guest safe and healthy! You must purchase your tickets online at biff1.com because no cash or card transaction on site is permitted right now. Tickets are sold per vehicle, not per person so load up as many friends and family members as you can safely fit in your car and head to the movies! Movies will start around sunset, which is usually around 9 pm. You will be directed where to park and will have plenty of space between you and other cars. You must stay in your vehicle at all times so be sure to pack your favorite snack and drinks and tune your car’s radio in and enjoy the show! For more information and for a list of movies showing click here.
