Summer is in full swing in the Boulder Area but unfortunately, most of our community is still affected by COVID 19. You may be feeling like you aren’t able to enjoy summer the way you have in previous years. Here are some local events that I am highlighting in my July Community Insider for the Boulder Area. But thankfully there are many local restaurants and businesses around us that are doing the best they can to keep things feeling ‘normal’. I am so proud of this community and so proud to call this my home! Don’t forget our beautiful hiking trails are open as well. I enjoy taking the time to go out and explore beautiful Colorado. This picture is from my hike I did on the Chautauqua trial!
Restaurants That Offer Outdoor Dining
Here a list of local restaurants that offer outdoor dining to keep you close with your families and friends. Restaurants are of course following guidelines when it comes to no more than 8 people allowed to dine together. They are also requiring you to wear a mask if you are there visiting and not eating or drinking. Reservations are strongly suggested to be able to help serve everyone. Boulder Film Fest
Even though we can’t have our normal cinema experience due to precautions for COVID19. This year’s Boulder film fest will be a virtual festival featuring short films, interviews, and bonus content. These will start playing July 16th and ending on July 23rd. All of these films will be playing online at any time so you have lots of opportunities to join in on the fun! Opening and closing nights will offer live music which you will be able to enjoy from the comfort of your home. They will also be doing a virtual walk through the city of Boulder showing you the beautiful places to go and take a walk and enjoy the beauty surrounding us. Boulder’s Farmers Market
Named the number 1 Farmer’s Market in the U.S by the USA today. This farmers market has become a weekly ritual for many residents in the Boulder area. Established in 1986 by a handful of local farmers looking to sell farm-fresh produce. They are asking that guests make reservations to help with COVID precautions and keeping their guests safe. Come check out locally grown produce, eggs, cheeses, meats, herbs, flowers, wines, and gourmet food products. Don’t forget to ask the local farmers for advice on cooking your produce. You might find a new favorite recipe! The Saturday farmers market is open at 8 am and the venues continue to serve till 2:30 pm. The outdoor food court is a popular meeting place for breakfast and lunch. With a variety of prepared food by local chefs along with live music. They provide you a place to relax and meet up with friends before or after shopping at the local market together. For the town of Lafayette, they are offering online ordering and you will be able to pick up your fresh produce for you and your family.
