It’s great to see businesses opening up! Of course, we are still practicing social distancing, wearing masks when we need to, and remembering to wash our hands often. One of the things that I have found during this time is that I used to spend a lot of time shopping for groceries and that I am now saving time by ordering groceries for pick up and delivery. Check out my June Community Insider for the Boulder Area.
Grocery shopping has changed a lot during this pandemic and I am impressed at how foodservice businesses have stepped up to the plate to keep us safe. From ordering online and picking up curbside, to disinfecting carts, wearing masks and gloves, and limiting the number of customers in a store. Store owners are limiting exposure to one-another. I am so grateful to live in this community and be a part of helping others during this time! Altamira, a food wholesaler for local restaurants, changed their business model during this crisis and expanded delivery to our community by delivering to Boulder Areas’ residences!
This has helped the elderly as well as people who are not able to leave their homes be able to get fresh food right to their door. I have been so impressed by the quality and freshness of their fruit and vegetables. As well as the variety of specialty foods. I am a huge fan of their brioche braided bread as well as their fun appetizers. Altamira delivers on Tuesdays and Thursdays and if you order $50 or more, they waive the delivery charge. Take a look at their website and see what all they have to offer. Click here!
Restaurants Opening Up!
I also found out that some of my favorite restaurants are opening up with limited outdoor and indoor seating! While I have loved picking up my favorite pizza from Gastronauts at Gravity Brewing. It is nice to know that I can enjoy it on-site in their Bier Garten! Bob’s Diner in Louisville is also open for business!!! Casa Alegra has announced that they have opened up their spacious patio with limited seating and Murphy’s Tap House in Louisville has announced that their outdoor seating area is ready as well!
